I want never gets !

I am coverting these fabulous wellies. It's the Zebra ones I want - I know they are nothing to do with knitting, but I want them badly - I think I'm going to have to get them - I know summer is coming, but hey I'll need them for the winter ! Also we are going to Devon in June - do you think I could find an excuse to wear them there ?

My socks are finished - I'm not going to post a picture of them because frankly they are not beautiful, they are far too big for me and look baggy round the ankles - I really don't know how to do anything about that because they are really difficult to get over my heel, but once I get them on they are too baggy round the cuff - what to do - try to get a stretchy yarn is the only thing I can think to do. I have some Opal sock yarn sitting around somewhere, so I'm going to have a go at knitting those and see if they come out any better. We shall see.

Back to the baby knitting now.

Becky how do you always find these fab websites - those wellies are fantastic and I want some too - you just have to get them - Devon can be pretty muddy when it rains.

Thanks for leaving a comment. The cardigan pattern you liked is in Debbie Bliss' Cotton Angora book & I got the yarn from John Lewis. (I had to take two balls back - the pattern overstates the requirements.) I agree it's good to knit something a little different. I've been in the closet about Doris for ages. Don't understand why I like her - unless it's the campness and the cheesiness. And the aprons and the songs are sublime!

How kind of you to blog about our fabulous zebra wellies available from www.umbrellart.co.uk. I hope you have no need for them in June because of bad weather but that you want to wear them as a fashion statement in and around beautiful Devon.
